STAFF at a garden centre in Taunton have been nominated for two awards in the horticultural industry’s Greatest Awards taking place this month (July, 2010).

Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre has been voted through as finalists in two categories: The Greatest Grow Your Own Team and The Greatest Hard Landscaping Team.

Norma Moore, General Manager at the garden centre, which is located at Monkton Heathfield, explained: “We will hear if we have won at a Garden Party on July 13 in Birmingham. We’re delighted to have been nominated for these awards. It is a real achievement.”

The Greatest Awards are based on team work and people working together to achieve excellence. They are dedicated to finding the UK’s greatest garden centre teams.

Norma added: “Uniquely, the awards recognise excellence and team work in individual garden centre departments. Nominations are made by our customers, suppliers or others in the trade who believe us to be the greatest.”
